Design and Research Internship Fall 2018
In my fall 2018 semester, the chairwoman of the English Department at La Roche University was seeking interns for her Design and Research Internship job. I was paired up with her and helping come up with ideas for designing a website for a world-renowned poet, Sam Hazo. The internship lasted from September to early December, and it taught me how to work with others and assist in website designing.
A novel on the way to publication.
This is an excerpt from my first completed, but unpublished novel, Keep Out. It is in the long publication process. The excerpt is about a twelve-year-old middle school student named Romy Alley, facing minor adversaries such as fake friends, a boy who likes her, et cetera. Here, she gets sick at a school dance and the following Monday, one of her teachers shares a similar situation in class.
